The best recipes for sweet lecho

Various lecho recipes are most often based on the use of tomatoes and bell peppers. These two ingredients are traditional for this dish. But there are other variations, for example, lecho with eggplant or zucchini. Preparing a sweet lecho for the winter according to any of these recipes is not at all difficult, the main thing is to know exactly what products are required for this and how to properly handle them.

A simple recipe without vinegar

This recipe for making lecho is great for both experienced housewives and novice cooks. You can preserve several jars of this product in just an hour. And surprisingly, the limited list of products in the recipe allows you to get a delicious preparation for the winter, which will surely please every family member.

List of products

The composition of the product is extremely simple: for 1 kg of sweet Bulgarian peppers, add 150 g of tomato paste (or 300 g of grated fresh tomatoes), 1 tbsp. l. salt and 2 tbsp. Sahara.

Cooking process

It is recommended to start the preparation of sweet lecho with the marinade. For this, tomato paste is diluted with water 1: 1. Pounded fresh tomatoes will have a liquid consistency, so you do not need to add water to them. The liquid component will be the basis of the marinade, to which you need to add salt and sugar, boil it over low heat.

While the marinade is being prepared, you can take care of the peppers themselves: remove the stalk and grains, partitions inside the vegetable. Peeled sweet peppers need to be cut into small squares, about 2-2.5 cm wide. It will be convenient to fill half-liter jars with them, and such a piece will fit perfectly into your mouth.

Pour pieces of pepper into the boiling marinade and boil them for 10 minutes. Then fill the jars with hot product, cover them with lids and sterilize. For half-liter jars, 20 minutes of sterilization will be enough, for liter containers this time should be increased to half an hour.

The finished product must be rolled up or closed with a tight iron lid. You can store the canned workpiece in the cellar. In winter, an open jar of peppers will delight you with its fresh taste and aroma, reminding you of the past warm summer.

Delicious lecho with carrots and onions

This cooking option may seem a little more complicated than the recipe above, since you will have to prepare and combine several vegetables at once. Thanks to this, the taste of the product turns out to be very original and interesting, which means that the hostess's efforts will not be in vain.

Necessary products

To prepare a sweet homemade lecho, you will need a pound of tomatoes and the same amount of peppers, 2 medium-sized carrots, one onion, 3-5 black peppercorns, 2 tbsp. granulated sugar, bay leaf, 3-4 tablespoons of butter and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Cooking steps

Having decided to cook lecho according to this recipe, you need to start by preparing pre-washed vegetables:
